The issue of real estate in Russia has been quite acute lately. Due to rising apartment prices, fewer and fewer people can afford to buy. At the same time, there is a tendency to a deterioration in the quality of life in new houses due to a decrease in the average area of apartments and an increase in height. Therefore, a private house in the suburbs becomes a real alternative to an apartment.
The Dom XXI project became part of the study of a new typology of the house not as a cottage, but as a place for permanent residence: a comfortable private living space that almost disappeared in Russian cities in the 20th century as a typology.
